In a brand-new Nintendo Direct on September 13th, Nintendo filled 2023 with a tonne of releases and offered its Switch audience almost 40 minutes of exclusive content to enjoy. This includes the name of the follow-up to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and several beloved series getting new iterations, such as Story of Seasons and upcoming Nintendo switch games 2024.
The announcement of a sizable quantity of DLC and remastered titles was widely anticipated, but some people may have been surprised by the range of fresh information the most recent Nintendo Direct provided. There were plenty of teaser trailers and snippets for games that fans have been excitedly anticipating to release in Nintendo Switch 2023, but the stream was primarily focused on upcoming physical switch games that would be available in the winter.
Despite reports that Nintendo may be developing a new system soon, it appears the firm is still favouring the Switch after the announcements for all the games coming to it. It Takes Two and an extra pass for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 are finally coming to the PlayStation on November 4 for anyone looking for games released before 2023.
Even still, the first quarter of 2023 appears to be packed and will probably be worth the wait because three hugely successful series have new content planned for the first few months of the year. Pikmin 4, which had reportedly been close to completion in 2015, was excitingly announced. Unfortunately, the precise date of its release for next year has not yet been disclosed. The teaser trailer for Pikmin 4 was undoubtedly a pleasure for fans of the charming series after Pikmin inventor and best switch games 2023 mainstay Shigeru Miyamoto enthused Nintendo Direct viewers about Pikmin Bloom and hinted at the possibility of Mario film footage.
January 20, 2023 : Fire Emblem Engage
The earliest entry is the strategy game Fire Emblem Engage, which is scheduled to release on January 20. By enlisting the aid of legendary characters from the past, such as Marth, gamers in this game can battle alongside them. Fire Emblem Engage is not a successor to Fire Emblem: Three Houses, although it will have certain similarities and provide a free-roaming option.
February 24, 2023: Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe
Kirby fans have had a terrific few years, and 2023 appears to continue that trend. On February 24, 2023, a remake of Kirby’s Return to Dream Land will be released. It’s unclear if internet multiplayer will be available, but fans of the recognisable round mascot will be able to play the platformer with up to four players during the narrative and in a number of minigames.
May 12, 2023: The Legend of Zelda
The newest Zelda game, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, is undoubtedly one of the most popular releases from the Nintendo Direct. Since the most recent trailer was so brief and focused primarily on the storyline, not much is known about the game to date. Nintendo will probably provide additional details as the debut date approaches, but for the time being, the upcoming switch games in may release date has given fans enough to be thrilled about.
Early 2023 will also see the release of the following games: Fitness Boxing Fist of the North Star, Tales of Symphonia Remastered, Octopath Traveler 2, Fae Farm, Theatrhythm Final Bar Line, and Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & The Secret Key. The upcoming Nintendo games still have a lot of content coming this fall and winter, including ports, DLCs, and free updates that might make the wait a little more tolerable.
